For such a small country, Monaco has some of the best restaurants in the world! Whether you are spending the whole summer in the South of France or are just planning a day trip to Monaco- consider this list your comprehensive guide to the BEST restaurants in the Principality.
Faux French Girl Tips:
Make sure to make reservations in advance! Higher end restaurants will fill up fast as summer approaches.
Take note of the dress code; if you are just planning a day trip make sure you have a proper outfit for dinner.
Restaurants With a Party Atmosphere
La Mome Monte Carlo

With breathtaking views of Port Hercules and live music nightly, this restaurant is a great place for anyone looking for an upscale, fun dinner with a large group. The menu consists of French and Italian favorites such as tuna tartare, veal Milanese, and a great selection of pastas. They also host a bottomless champagne buffet brunch on the weekends if you are looking to celebrate or just enjoy a beautiful day on the port.
Amazonico

Amazonico opened in April 2024 and has been a huge hit in Monaco, nestled on top of Cafe de Paris with views of casino square and Hotel de Paris. Live bands, DJ’s, and three large outdoor areas have made Amazonico the most glitzy restaurant in Monaco. If you are searching for the perfect GNO restaurant- these South American inspired dishes, curated cocktails, and the resident DJ will have you dancing until the early hours of the morning.
Buddha bar monte carlo

The Monte Carlo Buddha Bar location is located on the east side of the Monte Carlo Casino and displays every element of grandeur as the casino- with an Asian twist. Expect moody lighting, a live DJ, and a fantastic selection of pan Asian dishes and cocktails. An amazing choice if you are looking to end your evening at the Casino.
Giacomo

I love all Big Mamma Group restaurants, but Giacomo ranks highest in my book due to its location right on Larvotto Beach. The interior design is stunning and the menu is even better- expect Italian favorites like pasta and pizza and well-priced bottles of Italian wine. If you are planning to visit Giacomo this summer, make sure to book an outdoor table and order the signature truffle pasta- you will not regret it.
Mayabay

Tucked away in the eastern end of Monaco towards Larvotto beach, Mayabay has all the glitz and glam of a party restaurant while still maintaining a mysterious vibe. Their menu is a full coffee table book with selections from all types of Asian cuisine. Mayabay is only a five minute walk from iconic nightclub Jimmy’z, so this is a great option for a late reservation then clubbing afterwards.
restaurants with a view
Riviera restaurant

While technically not in Monaco, Riviera Restaurant in the Maybourne Riviera Hotel boasts the best views of the Principality. Floor to ceiling glass windows and panoramic views of the Riviera are reason enough to visit this restaurant. The food is a mix of Provençal, Ligurian, and Côte d’Azur favorites – be sure to visit Bar 300 for outdoor cocktails before or after dinner.
La note bleue

My favorite restaurant on Larvotto beach and for an amazing reason- La Note Bleue is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and never disappoints. Whether you are looking to spend hours lounging on a daybed on the beach or just enjoying a sunset meal with a chilled glass of rosé, this is the perfect place for you.
Le grill

Located on the top floor of iconic Hotel de Paris and boasting one Michelin star, Le Grill is the perfect location for a romantic date night or to celebrate a special occasion. An expertly crafted menu of fine French dining, excellent service, and panoramic views of the Mediterranean and Casino de Monte Carlo make this my favorite fine dining restaurant in Monaco.
Muse

Muse is Monaco’s answer to the treetop covered, beach view restaurants of Saint Tropez. Whether you are craving a summery salad or fresh truffle pasta, the best way to describe Muse is that it pairs PERFECTLY with an aperol spritz! The restaurant is located at the Le Meridien Beach hotel and is only open during the summer- so take note!

restaurants that won’t break the bank
Marche de la condamine

If you are traveling to Monaco with a large group with different tastes and are looking for a casual lunch, you absolutely must visit Marche de la Condamine! This food hall in the Condamine district with has local Monegasque delicacies, made to order pasta, Lebanese favorites, and pizza, of course. If you go before 1:00pm, make sure to visit the bustling Condamine produce and flower market that takes place outside every day.
Planet sushi

Wanting views of Port Hercules and fresh sushi but don’t want to break the bank? Planet Sushi is the answer. BONUS: If you visit in the months of March- May, you will be dining with a view of the Monte Carlo Circuit!
Woo monaco

A local favorite for fresh and healthy juices, meals, and coffee- Woo is one of my go-to lunch restaurants. The menu consists of Buddha bowls, salads, and gluten free baked goods, and is the best pick-me up during a long travel day. If you’re lucky, you might have a Kelly Rutherford sighting here!
Sexy tacos

One does not usually equate the South of France and Mexican food, but Sexy Tacos is a great option if you are sick of French and Italian cuisine. Do not expect American Tex-Mex favorites, but the spicy margaritas, fresh guacamole, and views of Larvotto beach make this a great option for lunch or dinner. Pro tip- order the churros!
